Through abandonment, architectural spaces can be revealed. Churches, in abandonment, show a space of light and retain its illumination. The darkness and emptiness of the other spaces dwell on their abandonment which causes them to become eerie. They all represent a 4th space. Not my home, not someone else’s home, not a public or a private space. The work is made using contemporary digital processes, but it is meant to be seen in the context of historic fine art photography.
